Waterproofing Project Manager
We are a Seattle area full service design, inspection, and testing firm that is currently
seeking a qualified candidate for a Project Managers and Field Inspector positions.
The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:
A: Project Management
Manage 10-30 ongoing projects from cradle to grave: Reference old proposals and work with marketing dept in order to produce new proposals. Work with Accounting to track budgets, allocate billable hours, schedule invoices, while keeping to contract. Coordinate and meet with architects, inspectors and internal resources to ensure and enforce schedule is maintained and deadlines are met on-time.
B: Firm Contribution
Attend regular firm-wide meetings to report and stay abreast of important firm-wide news and projects; collaborating with other Project Managers and working with other departments to field questions and develop Best Practices.
C: Design Admin
Maintain firm design standards through promotion of sound design fundamentals and theory; implementing this standard in designs received from Architects, correctly applying waterproofing Details/Specs from firm packages, and responding to RFIs/Submittals from contractors.
D: Creative Design
Collaborate with Architects and Inspectors through red-lining details and recommending creative options in order to offer unique design solutions and resolve constructibility discrepancies; discussing new products and ideas with Manufactures Reps and Industry groups along the way.
E: Client Relationship
Maintain good relationships past/current clients through email/text/phone calls; “holding their hand” during open jobs and following up for future projects. Work with the Marketing Dept to field questions and talk to warm/hot leads.
A. Technical Degree in CM, Engineering, Architecture
B. Management experience, or management profile/potential
C. 70%-30% Field/Office balance (Reporting, Documentation, Microsoft Suite)
